Jankeesh Sandhu is a research area specialist with the Center for Local, State, and Urban Policy (CLOSUP) at the University of Michigan's Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy. Jankeesh previously worked for the International Monetary Fund, and before that, the World Bank. At the IMF, Jankeesh provided data analytics support for numerous research projects, as well as country macro-framework forecasting, and analysis for policy consulting with IMF member governments. At the World Bank, she worked on the flagship publication Global Economic Prospects, the book A Decade After the Global Recession, and a variety of other projects. Jankeesh has a MS in applied economics from Johns Hopkins, and additional experience in survey research. At CLOSUP, Jankeesh participates in research, analysis, and reporting primarily on the Michigan Public Policy Survey and on our new Fiscal Health Project, though she'll be involved in the full range of research and outreach activities at the center.
